Telegram Wallet users can now buy USDT without fees, thanks to Mercuryo and The Open Platform (TON).

Key facts:

🔴 TON has supported USDT since April 2024, with an issuance volume of $1.16 billion.
🔴 In 2024, 36.2 million crypto wallets were created on the network—a 55x increase.
🔴 4.5 million Wallet users are already transacting with USDT.

In January, Telegram and TON Foundation signed an exclusive agreement requiring Web3 applications to use only TON. This sparked discussions about potential ecosystem monopolization.
