The U.S. Blocks Imports of ASIC Miners from Bitmain, MicroBT, and Canaan.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is detaining Bitmain’s Antminer S21 and T21, as well as devices from MicroBT and Canaan, at the request of the FCC.
🚫 Reason for the Ban:
- The use of AI chips from the Chinese company Sophgo, which is under U.S. sanctions.
- Miners are classified as unlicensed equipment causing radio interference.
⚠️ Consequences:
- A batch of Antminer S21 Pro worth $5 million was seized at the Port of San Francisco.
- Industry experts confirm that every Asian ASIC manufacturer is facing delays.
- Bitmain and MicroBT are already seeking solutions—Bitmain announced the launch of a U.S. production line in December.
